It's bonfire night! A night of overprices fireworks and disappointment! The night where most English people mutter "Well, that's that until next year." and "We still have Christmas I guess." Bonfire night is not my favourite tine of the year, as you may be able to tell, but still: have a few facts about bonfire night!


A fireworks can travel up to 150mph.

The same speed as a biplane and the worlds fasted roller coaster.

It was illegal to not celebrate Bonfire Night on the 5th of November in the UK.

This was the case up until 1959.

Captain John Smith, was the first man to set off fireworks in America.

John Smith is an Englishman most commonly known for his role in the story "Pocahontas.

The first fireworks were made in China

This was around 2000 years ago.
