Norwich Bloggers Meetup 2015 Recap

14:02

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was my first ever blogger meet-up and wow was it great! I got to meet some amazing bloggers that I've been reading for a while and all in the name of charity. The meetup was hosted at The Birdcage - Norwich and was in aid of our chosen charity, Women's Aid, a charity that supports female victims of domestic abuse, To raise money they ran a raffle with some fabulous prizes in it. None of which I won't!

We had a lovely goody bag, each with our own little name-tag on in full of lovely goodies kindly donated by companies wanting to support the charity. This including: Man Flu Vitamin Supplements, Kettle Chips, Chupa Chup Lollies (Already Eaten) and a whole range of vouchers and free samples including a free shot and discounts. It was very kind of all the companies to donate these products so thankyou!
When everyone arrived there was a brief moment of surreality when you saw the faces of people who you are only used to seeing on a screen, it was wonderful! Everyone was so friendly and quite a few people were feeling all nervous and awkward just like I was. There were about 30-40 bloggers in attendance which was wonderful and there was never a quiet moment in the room. You could really see how much effort the 4 girls put into the event, I am really grateful of the girls for making my first blogging event one to remember =)
Georgia Shackleton also showcased her Speckled Hen Vintage clothes and The River Kitchen served us up some fabulous cakes and sweets for free as well. Their Oreo fudge was absolutely amazing.
